Attorney Robert W. Herron III
Fun stuff up front ...
Rather than starting with the traditional biography, let's put the fun stuff up front...
More than anything else, my first priority is spending time with my amazing wife, our beautiful kids, and our awesome dog, Nelson. I am an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and firearms enthusiast. In the fall, you can usually find me in the woods bowhunting whitetail deer. In the spring or summer, I am more likely to be calling predators or shooting at a local pistol competition. When I play golf, I play it with intensity and focus. Unfortunately, I do not play golf very well; mostly because, rather than going to the driving range, I spend all of my time with my family, or hunting, or shooting, or all of them together (on the good days).
The more traditional biography ...
Although Hampton Roads has been my home for quite some time, I was raised in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Cleveland, Tennessee.
After leaving my hometown, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. First, I served with Battery M, 4th Battalion, 14th Marines (USMCR) in Chattanooga, TN. Later, I augmented to active duty and served a full enlistment as a drummer with The Commandant's Own at 8th & I, Marine Barracks Washington, Washington, D.C.
I received an Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps as a Sergeant, having been selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant.
Following my time in the Marines, I graduated cum laude from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, with my Bachelor of Arts in History. After completion of my undergraduate studies, I earned my Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, where I graduated on the Honors Track and was elected to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
After law school, I worked for several years as a litigation associate for a law firm in Virginia Beach. In that capacity, I handled a wide variety of cases, in jurisdictions that spanned across the entire state of Virginia. As a litigation associate, the majority of my efforts were spent in a courtroom or preparing for trial.
I opened Robert Herron Law, P.C. with a desire to combine my litigation experience with customized legal representation.
Customized Representation
My representation is customized and specific to each individual client. At my office, there is no such thing as "one size fits all." Each case is different. Each client is unique. No matter how big or how small, each case is handled to meet the needs of the specific client.
Personal Attention
I personally handle each case from beginning to end. Your phone calls will be answered. You will receive replies to your emails. Your case will never be handed off to an inexperienced associate. You will have the personal attention that you deserve.
Real-World Experience
The representation I offer to each client is based on first-hand, real-world experience. If the case involves a serious DUI in Bland County or a contested child custody case in Accomack County, I have that experience. Whether it involves a contested divorce in Buena Vista or serious felony charges in Stafford County, I have that experience. If it involves a six-figure contract dispute in Hampton Roads or serious criminal charges in Fairfax County, I have that experience.
Even if your case does not fit neatly into a category, don't worry. I have that experience, too.
